Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington, DC to join our interdisciplinary care team. This PRN position covers Saturdays and Sundays 8am–5pm, with pay $43.00–$46.00 per hour based on experience.

You will provide individualized nursing care to maximize comfort and quality of life, develop and carry out care plans with patients, families, and the care team, and document care clearly.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the District of Columbia.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care that maximizes comfort and quality of life.
• Partner with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary group to create and carry out care plans.
• Perform comprehensive assessments—physical, emotional, social, and spiritual—to guide care decisions.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers, meeting them where they are.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure continuity and dignity.
• Document care clearly and accurately to reflect patient needs and progress.
• Participate in on-call or admission rotations as needed.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
