Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice RN to join our IPU team in Dayton, OH. This part-time day shift role delivers patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborates with families and the interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort at the end of life.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation, with flexible float coverage to Troy and Middletown IPU as needed.

Qualifications

• RN graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/BSN preferred).
• Active Ohio RN license without board actions.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, evaluation).
• Interact effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team while maintaining professional nursing standards.
• Provide hospice and supportive care across the end-of-life journey.

Hospice RN – Making every moment matter

• This is a PT day shift position at our Hospice of Dayton IPU but could float to our Troy and Middletown IPU as needed.
• Shifts hours are 7am-7:30pm; 2-12hr shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation
• We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

As a Hospice RN you will plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interact with patients, families and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Hospice RN Qualifications:

RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

• CPR Certified
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)
• Computer skills are sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
