Job summary

Compassus is seeking an On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours and weekend patient care across our hospice program. You will support patients and families, ensuring comfort and quality time together during critical hours.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care with weekend or rotating shifts and a strong emphasis on education for caregivers and teamwork within the Compassus family.

Qualifications

• RN license required in the state you work.
• Two years of RN experience; hospice experience preferred.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice patient care after-hours and weekends as needed.
• Help patients spend quality time with loved ones and enjoyable activities.
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families.
• Educate caregivers on care for their loved one.
• Assist patient and family with comfort and coping during after-hours situations.
