Job summary

Bristol Hospice - Eugene, OR, and Springfield, OR is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN, part-time hourly work. You will perform comprehensive patient and family assessments and deliver skilled nursing care in a hospice setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of acute care experience, state licensure, and willingness to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice service area. A flexible PRN schedule supports work-life balance with dedicated patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• One year of experience in home care preferred.
• Must have a current licensure in the state.
• Must understand hospice philosophy and care needs for the terminally ill.
• Must be flexible in work hours.

Responsibilities

• Complete an initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs.
• Provide a complete physical assessment and history of current and previous illness.
• Provide professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of the nursing process.
• Assess and evaluate patient status and update the plan of care with patient and family involvement.
• Communicate with the physician regarding patient needs and changes in condition; obtain orders as required.
• Teach patient and family/caregiver self-care techniques.
