WE'RE OFFERING A $10K SIGN-ON BONUS FOR THIS POSITION!

Executive Director Responsibilities:

As an Executive Director with Gentiva Hospice, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location. The Executive Director oversees the coordination of patient admissions, ancillary services, supervision of hospice personnel and volunteers, and communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and service.
  2. Incorporates continuous quality improvement principles in daily activities.
  3. Promotes and monitors compliance with standards established by accrediting, licensing, regulatory agencies, and relevant laws.
  4. Recommends and implements policies and procedures.
  5. Manages Human Resources effectively, promoting positive communication, employee training, supervision, and workload distribution.
  6. Manages Office Operations, ensuring documentation, quality of patient care, emergency responses, and participating in on-call schedules.
  7. Supervises and evaluates family satisfaction surveys.
  8. Manages financial resources, monitors budgets, expenses, and prepares financial reviews.
About You
  • Education: RN with at least an Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year management/supervisory; two+ years hospice/home care; three+ years clinical patient care; healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid nursing license, CPR certification, valid driver’s license, insurance.
  • Equipment: Ability to operate computers, fax, copier, cell phone, and reliable transportation.

Additional roles titles include RN Branch Director, RN Manager, Hospice Director, etc.
