WE'RE OFFERING A $10K SIGN-ON BONUS FOR THIS POSITION!

Executive Director Responsibilities:

As an Executive Director with Gentiva Hospice, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location. The Executive Director oversees the coordination of patient admissions to Hospice Services, ensuring a smooth, systematic process, and arranges for ancillary services to be complementary. Additionally, the Executive Director will oversee the direction, supervision, and evaluation of hospice personnel and volunteers, coordinate services among all team members, and maintain ongoing communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and service.
  2. Incorporates continuous quality improvement principles in daily activities.
  3. Promotes and monitors compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory agencies, and relevant laws.
  4. Recommends and implements policies and procedures.
  5. Manages Human Resources effectively by promoting positive communication, conducting and documenting meetings, providing orientation and training, and supervising team members.
  6. Manages Office Operations by planning, organizing, ensuring accurate documentation, supervising patient care quality, and participating in on-call schedules if applicable.
  7. Works with physicians, patients, families, and staff to address concerns and needs.
  8. Supervises and evaluates family satisfaction surveys in collaboration with the Administrator.
  9. Manages financial resources by monitoring budgets, expenses, and ensuring expenditures stay within the budget.

About You

  • Education:
  • Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Master’s degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum one year of management/supervisory experience required.
  • Two or more years’ experience in hospice/home care required.
  • Three years’ experience in direct patient care preferred.
  • Three to five years of healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
  • Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
  • Current nursing license in the state of employment, if applicable.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
  • Equipment/Tools/Work-Aids: Ability to operate computers, fax, copier, and cell phone; transportation required.

Potential titles include RN Branch Director, RN Branch Manager, Hospice Branch Director, Executive Director, RN Executive Director, RN Administrator, Hospice Administrator, Director of Operations, Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Operations, Home Health Administrator, among others.

Salary Range: $82,105 - $102,630. Compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, and departmental factors. Gentiva offers a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package.
