WE'RE OFFERING A $10K SIGN-ON BONUS FOR THIS POSITION!

Executive Director Responsibilities:

As an Executive Director with Gentiva Hospice, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location, overseeing patient admissions, ancillary services, supervision and evaluation of staff and volunteers, and maintaining communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through quality care and service.
  2. Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles into daily activities.
  3. Ensure compliance with standards set by accrediting, licensing, regulatory agencies, and laws.
  4. Recommend and implement policies and procedures.
  5. Manage Human Resources effectively, including staff communication, orientation, supervision, and workload distribution.
  6. Manage Office Operations, including planning, documentation, quality monitoring, and participation in patient visits or on-call schedules (if RN).
  7. Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and staff regarding issues and concerns.
  8. Supervise and evaluate family satisfaction surveys in collaboration with the Administrator.
  9. Manage financial resources, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring expenditures stay within budget.
About You
  • Education: Registered Nurse with minimum Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred; Master’s in business, nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of management/supervisory experience; two or more years in hospice/home care; three years in clinical patient care (preferred); healthcare sales/management experience (preferred).
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid nursing license, CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • Equipment/Tools: Ability to operate computers, fax, copier, cell phone; reliable transportation.

Salary range: $82,105 - $102,630, with compensation varying based on experience, education, and other factors. Gentiva offers a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package.
