WE'RE OFFERING A $10K SIGN-ON BONUS FOR THIS POSITION!

Executive Director Responsibilities:

As an Executive Director with Gentiva Hospice, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location. The Executive Director oversees the coordination of patient admissions to Hospice Services, ensuring a smooth, systematic process, and arranges for ancillary services to be complementary. Additionally, you will oversee the direction, supervision, and evaluation of hospice personnel and volunteers, coordinate services among team members, and maintain ongoing communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and service.
  2. Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in daily activities.
  3. Promote and monitor compliance with standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory bodies, and relevant laws.
  4. Recommend and implement policies and procedures.
  5. Manage Human Resources effectively, promoting positive communication, providing training, and evaluating staff.
  6. Manage office operations, including planning, documentation, quality monitoring, and emergency response.
  7. Supervise financial resources, monitor budgets, and ensure expenditures stay within limits.
About You
  • Education: RN with minimum Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of management experience; two years in hospice/home care; three years in clinical patient care; healthcare sales/management preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid nursing license, CPR, valid driver’s license, insurance.
  • Equipment: Able to operate computer, fax, copier, and cell phone; transportation required.
