Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, seeks a compassionate RN for Evening/Weekend Care in Palm Harbor, FL. The RN delivers hospice care, assesses needs, coordinates interprofessional care, and educates patients and families to maximize comfort and dignity.

Schedule is 40 hours weekly with two weekday shifts and weekend coverage. Florida RN license, CPR, and driver’s license required; 1 year acute or post-acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Valid CPR certification from ARC or AHA.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Prefer one year of experience in an acute or post-acute setting.
• Experience caring for terminal patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice care under physician orders.
• Assess patient and family needs, coordinate care, and educate on symptom management.
• Administer, monitor, and document medications as prescribed.
• Support patient and family through end-of-life care and provide education.
