Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring RN for evening/weekend care in Palm Harbor, FL. This part-time role focuses on hospice patients, coordinating care and supporting families according to physician orders.

Coverage area includes Pinellas County, with a mission to deliver Full Life Care. Eligible candidates will hold a Florida RN license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license is required.
• Valid Florida driver's license and CPR certification required.
• Prefer 1 year of acute or post-acute care experience.
• Experience with terminal patients preferred.
• Reliable transportation to perform field tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Under physician orders, identify and coordinate patient/family needs to provide preventive and supportive hospice care.
• Administer, monitor, and document medications as prescribed by the attending physician.
• Assist with patient death and provide closure support in collaboration with the IDT.

The RN provides compassionate hospice care to patients with terminal illnesses and supports their families by assessing needs, coordinating care, managing symptoms, and providing education. Shift: Saturday and Sunday 10a-10p.
