Job summary

CompassionCare Hospice in Carson City, NV is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team. As an RN Case Manager you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care at a critical time, assess needs, and develop individualized care plans in a supportive setting.

We offer 1:1 patient care, flexible scheduling, independent work with team support, and opportunities for advancement. Applicants must be licensed in Nevada, with CPR certification and hospice experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification in states where required.

Responsibilities

• Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
• Create hospice care plans that align with the patient's wishes and goals
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions
• Provide pain and symptom management
• Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch
