Job summary

Allegiance Healthcare Hospice in Ruston, LA is seeking a licensed registered nurse to coordinate the implementation of the POC for each patient. The RN will assess needs, document care, and collaborate with the patient’s attending physician and the IDT to ensure comprehensive hospice care.

The role requires Louisiana RN licensure, at least two years of full‑time RN experience (hospice experience preferred), and the ability to supervise aides and other staff, with on‑call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse currently practicing in Louisiana with no restrictions.
• Minimum two years of full-time RN experience; hospice clinical experience preferred.
• Employee of the hospice; coordinate duties if employed by multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services per the POC and reassess patient needs at least every 14 days.
• Document problems, goals, interventions and patient/family responses.
• Collaborate with attending physician and IDT to deliver patient/family care.
• Instruct patient/family in self-care techniques when appropriate.
• Supervise ancillary personnel and delegate as needed.
• Submit accurate clinical notes within one week of visits.
