Job summary

Gentiva seeks a Registered Nurse Manager in Newport News, VA to lead hospice patient care and clinical operations. The role reports to the Executive Director/Administrator, directing care teams, ensuring compliance, and enhancing patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state, with 3+ years of direct care experience including hospice/home health, and prefers a BSN. The position includes comprehensive benefits and a salary range of $95,000–$100,000.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience, including 2 years in hospice/home health.
• Knowledge of hospice principles, regulatory standards (Medicare/Medicaid/JCAHO/ACHC).
• Ability to lead a diverse care team and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct patient care to ensure high-quality hospice services.
• Manage visit scheduling and prioritize based on clinical judgment.
• Triage referrals and medical concerns promptly and compassionately.
• Lead IDG meetings, present updates, review charts, coordinate care plans, document minutes.
• Mentor and train associates, support development, performance, and compliance.
• Ensure care delivery meets regulatory and company standards.
• Support performance improvement and operational efficiency at the location.
