Job summary

Ascend Hospice in Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Clinical Director to oversee nursing operations and clinical staff. You will support the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to ensure care meets current standards, supervise staff, and handle key services in line with policy.

The ideal candidate holds a State Certified RN license, CHPN certification is a plus, and at least 3 years of nursing experience in hospice or homecare. Competitive benefits accompany this leadership role.

Qualifications

• Must have a State Certified RN license.
• Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) certification, a plus
• 3+ years of Nursing experience
• Hospice or Homecare experience a must
• Demonstrated skills in administrative performance, including written/oral communication, supervision of staff, documentation requirements, service coordination and case management.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks as assigned by the designated leader
• Staff development
• Provides supervisor back-up for nursing departments when leadership is unavailable
• Management of key services in accordance with policies, procedures and current federal, state and local standards
• Works with Director of Nursing and Executive Director to ensure care meets current standards
• Ensure adequate support to Regional Managers
• Ensures that all reporting (including QAPI) are turned in as required
• Position exercises judgment in applying professional knowledge to solve problems
• Support intake department
• Assist with monthly clinical invoices and other managerial duties
