Job summary

Ascend Hospice is seeking an Assistant Executive Director to lead clinical and administrative programs, ensuring policy compliance, financial stability, and quality patient care. The role involves coordinating with staff, vendors and community partners to meet strategic goals and maintain service excellence.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 5–8 years of related hospice leadership experience, with RN license considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of related experience.
• Registered Nurse license, a plus.
• Experience with hospice program management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees programs through delegation of responsibilities to administrative and supervisory personnel.
• Oversees development and implementation of administrative, clinical and personnel policies.
• Monitors and ensures efficient functioning and coordination of all departments.
• Manages service policies and procedures to meet outcomes.
• Ensures ethical business and clinical practices are maintained.
• Coordinates with agencies and vendors for effective service management.
• Monitors contracts for service and renewals; liaises with Hospice.
• Maintains liaison with staff, patients, families and community.
• Monitors progress toward operational and strategic goals.
• Ensures adequate space, equipment and supplies.
• Oversees financial stability and budget development.
• Establishes staffing functions and needs.
• Evaluates staff orientation and education.
• Directs staff in service provision and admissions/actions.
• Implements conflict and complaint resolution systems.
• Keeps staff current with clinical information and trends.
• Ensures staff development programs and competency testing.
• Coordinates volunteers with proper supervision.
