Job summary

Suncrest Hospice in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate hospice care in patients' homes, assisted living, and hospitals. The RN will perform admissions, conduct visits, and collaborate with a care team to manage symptoms and comfort.

This after-hours on-call role requires strong clinical and communication skills, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel across the service area.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in good standing in the state of practice
• One year of nursing experience under license preferred
• Admissions and on-call experience preferred
• Works well in a team with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Willingness to drive and travel across the service area with reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice nursing care to assigned patients in homes, facilities, or hospitals
• Complete admissions and conduct regular patient visits
• Answer calls from patients, families, and customers
• Perform symptom management visits and manage hospice needs
• Travel across the service area as needed
