Job summary

Interim HealthCare Hospice is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in Oregon, WI and surrounding areas. The role offers a generous salary and on-call pay, with flexible assignments and a focus on quality of life for patients with limited time.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, ideally in hospice or home healthcare
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
• Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication and compassion

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focusing on quality of life
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient’s plan of care
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, monitor pain, and administer medications
• Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, oxygen, medications and supplies
• Educate family on prognosis, care plan changes and hospice goals
