Job summary

Interim HealthCare Hospice in Michigan is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate home-based care for patients with six months or less to live. You will join an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient’s plan of care, perform assessments, check vitals, monitor symptoms, and educate families about prognosis and care options.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm–8:00am, with competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, ESOP,

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Michigan.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience with home health or hospice care is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focusing on quality of life.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient’s plan of care.
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, monitor symptoms, and administer prescribed medications.
• Ensure accessibility to medical equipment, oxygen, medications and supplies.
• Educate family on prognosis, changes in care plan, medications and hospice goals.
• Take a holistic approach to care involving mind, body, spirit and family.
