Job summary

TriHealth Hospice of Cincinnati seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct and holistic care to patients and families in a hospice setting. You will collaborate with physicians and the health care team to meet patient needs, and may delegate aspects of care within nursing scope.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, an Associate's degree or Nursing Diploma, and is committed to completing a BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• RN required and BSN must be obtained within 5 years of hire
• New hires: up to 1 year clinical nursing experience
• Knowledge of biological, physical, behavioral, social sciences to meet complex care needs
• Preferred membership in related professional organization
• Preferred specialty certification when eligible
• Preferred membership in related professional organization

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family and documents findings
• Plans care based on assessment and coordinates discharge planning with team
• Maintains safe, therapeutic environment and respects patient autonomy and diversity
• Evaluates plan of care and revises with patient/family and team as needed
• Safely administers medications and monitors effects per policy
• Separates educational needs and shares knowledge with colleagues and other health care team members
