Job summary

3HC Home Health and Hospice in Kinston, NC is seeking a compassionate Hospice Nurse, RN to coordinate hospice services across assigned counties, align with agency goals, and support quality patient care.

The role requires NC RN license, 1+ year acute care experience, strong communication, CPR, and driving requirements, with on-call duties and collaboration with physicians, the IDG, and LPNs to deliver end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• 1+ year experience as a professional nurse in an acute care setting preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities.
• Experience with terminally ill patients preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Maintain CPR (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
• Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers.
• Provides comfort to patient/family to facilitate quality of life and dignity.
• Maintains current electronic documentation and EMR entries within 48 hours.
• Ensures physician involvement with patient care and documents changes.
• Provides supervision to LPNs and paraprofessionals, ensuring CMS/Hospice guidelines.
• Collaborates to meet productivity standards and participates in on-call rotations.
