Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is looking for a Hospice Care Consultant to lead referral development and educate clinicians and partners about hospice options. This role emphasizes relationship-building with hospitals, home health agencies, SNFs, and physician offices to drive appropriate, timely referrals.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in healthcare sales, strong communication, and CRM skills, with a preference for hospice or palliative care exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in healthcare sales, business development, or referral marketing.
• Strong existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs or home health professionals.
• Prior hospice, palliative care, or home health experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Educate, inform, and inspire confidence in our services to ensure right referrals at the right time.
• Identify new referral opportunities by calling on hospitals, home health agencies, SNFs, clinics, and physicians.
• Engage in meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals about patient needs and hospice options.
• Plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to increase awareness and referral growth.
• Represent Gentiva at community events, professional associations, and educational in-services.
• Serve as a resource for patients and families, explaining hospice options and benefits of early referrals.
