Job summary

Centrix Health Resources seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support to terminally ill patients in a home hospice setting. You will work under the direction of the nurse and nurse supervisor to augment caregiving provided by family members.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, safe environment, meals, mobility, basic treatments under supervision, record-keeping, and participating in care planning.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities as written in assignment and supports hygiene and safety.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy home environment.
• Aids in planning meals, feeding when needed, and supports special diets as directed by the nurse.
• Assists with ambulation and mobility devices under nurse instruction.
• Supports with basic treatments under supervision, including dressings and simple tests as taught by the nurse.
• Encourages patient independence within the interdisciplinary care plan and promotes mental alertness through activities.
