Job summary

A Hug Away Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with hospice experience to join our Spring, TX team on a PRN basis. The CNA will provide hands-on care, assist with activities of daily living, and support patients in a hospice setting.

Experience in hospice care is strongly preferred; home health is beneficial but not required. Knowledge of WellSky-Kinnser is a plus, and reliable transportation with auto insurance is required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• Hospice care experience strongly preferred.
• Home health experience beneficial but not required.
• Knowledge of WellSky-Kinnser strongly preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and resilience in caring for patients facing serious or terminal conditions.
• Comfortable and willing to care for pediatric patients as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Reliable transportation with auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, assistance with daily living activities, and emotional support to patients, primarily in a hospice setting.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and other personal care tasks.
• Monitor and report changes in patient's conditions to the nursing team and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care.
• Maintain patient dignity and comfort, particularly during end-of-life care.
• Be open and adaptable to providing care for children when needed.
