Amedisys Hospice, part of the Optum family, seeks a Hospice Director of Operations to lead the care center’s clinical, financial and regulatory success. You will set strategy, ensure compliance, drive quality patient care, and partner with clinical leaders to optimize performance and growth across sites.

You will oversee staff recruitment, training, budgeting, marketing input, and the billing process while traveling within the service area to supervise operations and advance organizational goals

Competenze

• 1+ years of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice or related health care
• Experience in health service administration
• Current driver's license and reliable automobile
• CPR certification if licensed healthcare professional

Mansioni

• Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, payer rules, and accreditation standards
• Educate staff on state and federal regulations and accrediting body standards
• Maintain ongoing communication with care center and branch sites
• Liaise between governing body, staff, patients, physicians and other providers
• Assist branch directors in resolving complaints and investigations
• Review medical records for utilization with medical director
• Ensure services are billed to proper payors
• Support marketing and growth efforts with input on plans
• Participate in staff recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation
• Make employment decisions for direct reports and monitor performance
• Travel within assigned service area to supervise staff and meet with sites
