Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking an RN Clinical Manager Hospice to lead and coordinate nursing services across our home health and hospice programs. You will supervise nurses and aides, ensure compliance and quality care, and collaborate with the director of staffing to optimize patient outcomes and staffing efficiency.

The role requires RN licensure, 1+ year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice, and RN management experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 1+ year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• 1+ year of RN management experience.
• Current RN license, state(s) of assignment.
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Supports and cooperates with the director of staffing.
• Responsible for overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organizes clinical operations for the care center.
• Reviews requests for services and determines eligibility for home care.
• Oversees scheduling and payor verification.
• Reviews staff documentation and resolves gaps.
• Assists with Plan of Care and long-term patient goals.
• Evaluates patient needs and revises the plan with clinicians.
• May provide direct patient care in emergencies.
• Participates in on-call process.
• Assists with staff training to ensure quality care and compliance.
• Participates in resolving patient/family/physician concerns.
