Job summary

Stillwater Hospice, LLC in Helena, Montana is seeking a PRN/on-call Registered Nurse to join our growing hospice care team. The RN will plan, implement, and coordinate patient care in home and community settings, with on-call shifts as required.

Candidates should have acute and home-care nursing experience, a current MT nursing license, and a driving license. We offer flexible schedules, shift pay, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• 1–2 years of recent experience in home care.
• Current licensure in state.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured vehicle.
• Bachelor’s degree, hospice care experience preferred.
• Management experience not required.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs hospice care.
• Assess patient and family needs, develop and revise care plans.
• Provide nursing care and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and disease management.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in on-call duties and ensure equipment and services are available.
