Job summary

Hospice Savannah, Inc. seeks a Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership across multiple departments and to execute strategic plans that shape patient care quality and outcomes.

This role supervises managers and directors, develops budgets, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. The DON will drive education initiatives, staff development, and evidence-based practices, serving as clinical expert and advocate for compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of senior level management experience.
• At least 3 years of Hospice experience.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Current, unencumbered Georgia RN License.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership across clinical departments including HIPU, Home Care, Admissions, and Education.
• Develop, implement, and manage departmental budgets.
• Oversee staff retention and education to ensure clinical competence.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, funding, certification, and licensing requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and assist VP of Clinical Services when needed.
