Amedisys seeks a Hospice Physician to lead clinical care for patients in our New Jersey hospice program. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to manage complex symptoms, guide care plans, and ensure quality end-of-life care.

The role requires a medical degree, active state license, CPR, and hospital staff privileges. You will collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and physicians, supervise Nurse Practitioners, participate in QAPI, and provide compassionate, patient-centered

Formación

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Current and unencumbered license to practice in the state.
• Membership in good standing on the medical staff of at least one contracted hospital.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; agency required liability insurance for home visits.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and provide palliative care.
• Oversee admissions, discharges, certifications, recertifications and medication management.
• Lead goals of care discussions with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and treatment plans.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and QAPI activities.
