Zusammenfassung

Amedisys is seeking a physician to provide hospice care focused on comfort, dignity, and support for patients and families. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, supervise admissions and certifications, manage symptoms, and coordinate care across settings.

Required: MD or DO, active state medical license, CPR certification, and participation in regulatory compliance and continuous education.

Qualifikationen

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school and state license to practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Board certification in hospice and palliative medicine is preferred.
• Membership in good standing on the medical staff of at least one contracted hospital.

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive, face-to-face assessments with patients. Manage symptoms and provide palliative care.
• Oversee patient admissions, discharges, certifications, recertifications and medication management.
• Lead goals of care discussions with patients and families.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.
