Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Current LPN licensure in state of employment
• Active BLS for healthcare professionals from American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Alzheimer's/Dementias training for Hope employees (Florida)
• Hope employees: BLS by Jan 1, 2025
• Capital Caring employees: BLS by Nov 1, 2024

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, provides nursing tasks to patients and families including continuous care, dressing changes, catheter changes as identified in the plan of care by IDG.
• Demonstrates clinical skills in medication administration, symptom management, and patient/family relations.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to RN.
• Performs venipuncture and CVL line care per procedures.
• Documents in medical records per policy and procedure.
• May be required to report to work during emergencies to ensure continuity of services.
• Cross-training to Hospice House roles may be required to meet census needs.
