Job summary

Hospice of the Chesapeake Inc. is seeking a Food Service Culinarian to oversee and initiate duties related to food service for residents in Pasadena, MD.

You will meet health standards, prepare meals per planned menus, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment while supporting patient care teams. The role requires Serv-Safe certification, 1–3 years in healthcare or hospitality, and a strong commitment to dignified, compassionate service for seniors.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Food Service or related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred.
• Serv-Safe certification is required; familiarity with safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and ensure all foods and supplies are ready for next meals.
• Maintain storage records and ensure proper handling of incoming food and supplies.
• Keep kitchenware and equipment in good working order and sanitize areas per regulations.
• Ensure compliance with residents’ rights regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required and support team duties as needed.
