Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) seeks an Interim Clinical Service Director – Hospice for a 13-week W2 contract based in Oakland, CA. Full-time schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with potential extension.

This leadership role directs inpatient/outpatient nursing services, develops strategic plans, and ensures quality and regulatory compliance. Compensation is between $5,277 and $5,775 weekly (all-in), with flexible structuring to meet candidate needs, including wages, per diems, and

Qualifications

• BSN or BA in health care related field required; Masters preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• 8 years nursing patient care experience.
• 5 years progressive management experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, evaluates and coordinates inpatient nursing services and integrated care across the continuum.
• Collaborates with other Service Directors to identify innovative models and cost reductions.
• Directs development and implementation of quality and utilization standards.
• Ensures compliance with contract requirements and regulatory agencies.
• Oversees department standards identified by regulators.
• Develops services to achieve high customer satisfaction and quality.
• Manages HR, labor relations, safety and risk management.
• May act as site administrator and uses data to drive clinical changes.
• Directs budget and resource allocations to improve efficiency and care quality.
