Job summary

Healthcare Executive Placements Inc. (HCEPInc.) seeks an Interim Clinical Service Director - Hospice for a W2 contract in Oakland, California. The position is full-time, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 13‑week assignment and a high likelihood of extension.

You will oversee inpatient and outpatient nursing services, align with federal and state regulations, and lead quality and cost‑control initiatives. BSN or BA in a health‑care field is required, with BLS and 8+ years nursing, plus 5+ years

Qualifications

• BSN or BA in a health-care related field required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• Around 8 years nursing patient care experience.
• Around 5 years progressive management experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Service Directors to identify innovative models and best practices, focusing on service improvements and cost reduction.
• Directs development and implementation of quality and utilization standards across the continuum of care to ensure coordinated plans and cost-effective care.
• Ensures compliance with administrative, legal and regulatory requirements of Health Plan contracts and governing agencies.
• Oversees the development of department standards as identified by regulatory agencies.
• Develops services achieving high customer satisfaction with emphasis on quality and innovation.
• Manages HR, labor relations, safety and risk management issues.
• May act as site administrator and uses research data to implement clinical changes and patient care improvements.
• Directs budget and resource allocations, and strategies to reduce costs and improve care.
