Healthcare Executive Placements Inc. (HCEPInc.) seeks an Interim Clinical Service Director - Hospice for a W2 contract in Oakland, California. The position is full-time, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 13‑week assignment and a high likelihood of extension.

You will oversee inpatient and outpatient nursing services, align with federal and state regulations, and lead quality and cost‑control initiatives. BSN or BA in a health‑care field is required, with BLS and 8+ years nursing, plus 5+ years

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Clinical Service Director - Hospice for a W2 Contract position based in Oakland, California.

Schedule:

Full time, 8:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Assignment Duration:

13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending

Location:

Oakland, CA
Weekly compensation (based on completion of a 40-hour work week): Between $5,277 - $5,775 (all-in), with flexibility in how the package is structured based on candidate needs. Compensation may include a combination of taxable wages, per diems (if eligible), and reimbursements.

Summary:

Plans, organizes, directs, evaluates and coordinates inpatient nursing services and/or integrated outpatient- inpatient nursing services across the continuum of care within a Service Area or within a single medical center. Works with KFHP/H and the Medical Group staff developing strategic plans, providing quality care, cost effective services which are aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.

Essential Functions:

Oversees the development of department standards as identified by regulatory agencies.

Develops services that achieve a high level of customer satisfaction with emphasis on customer service, highest standards of quality and innovation.

Manages and resolves human resource, labor relations, employee and department safety and risk management issues.

May act as site administrator. Utilizes research data to implement clinical changes and the delivery of patient care and member services.

Directs the budget and resource allocations. Manages the financial performance and identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care and services.

Qualifications:

BSN or BA in health care related field required. Masters degree preferred.

BLS Certification required.

Substantial nursing experience in patient care (around 8 years) required.

Progressive management experience required (around 5 years) required.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations required.
