Job summary

Midland Care Connection is seeking a Part Time RN for the Hospice House in Topeka, KS. You will provide end-of-life nursing care in an inpatient hospice setting, focusing on symptom management and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include updating care plans, documenting care, and supporting families, with shifts 7:00am–7:00pm on a 2–12 hour schedule. Kansas RN license and CPR/BLS are required, with preferred hospice experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (Kansas).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Ability to assess patients and manage symptoms.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage symptoms, especially pain, for hospice patients.
• Administer medications and update care plans.
• Document all care provided and coordinate with the hospice team.
• Educate and support families during end-of-life care.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care focused on quality of life.
