Job summary
Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit organization providing hospice, palliative care, home health, and related services in northeast Kansas. The RN Hospice House in Topeka delivers end-of-life nursing care in an inpatient setting with a multidisciplinary team to manage symptoms and support families.
This Full Time Day-shift position requires an active Kansas RN license, ADN/BSN, CPR/BLS, and reliable transportation, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (Kansas).
- ADN or BSN degree.
- Ability to assess patients and manage symptoms.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients' symptoms, especially pain and comfort.
- Administer medications and monitor effects.
- Update care plans and document care in the medical record.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospice team (physicians, social workers, chaplains, aides, volunteers).
- Educate families and provide emotional support during end-of-life care.
