Job summary

Community Hospice is seeking an RN Inpatient to deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care in our inpatient centers in Florida. The role involves comprehensive nursing assessments, symptom management, education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, empathy, and excellent communication skills, with a commitment to hospice philosophy and high-quality care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of nursing experience; hospice, palliative, or acute care experience preferred.
• Current Florida RN license; CPR certification.
• CHPN certification preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified time frame.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments and informs individualized care planning.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop patient- and family-centered plans of care.
• Provides direct nursing care per physician orders and hospice protocols.
• Educates patients and families on disease progression, symptom control, and hospice approach to end-of-life care.
• Maintains accurate documentation per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates compassionately with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
