Job summary

The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas is seeking an experienced Biller/Collector to own the full revenue cycle—from initial billing to final reimbursement. You’ll verify eligibility and units, actively collect on aged accounts, resolve denials, and collaborate with Intake, Operations, and Accounting to keep hospice services funded and compliant.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of healthcare billing and collections experience.
• Strong accounts receivable background with Medicaid and third-party payers.
• Knowledge of HCPCS codes and electronic claim submission.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Experience with hospice billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility, authorizations, units, and HCPCS codes to submit clean claims.
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on aged balances.
• Resolve denials, underpayments, and appeals.
• Reconcile billing records with payments and adjustments.
• Collaborate with Intake, Operations, and Accounting to resolve barriers.
