Hospice of Washington County is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a hospice setting. The role requires an Associate degree in Nursing with RN licensure in Maryland and a BSN within three years.

At least two years of clinical experience in hospice or related fields is preferred. You will assess and plan nursing care, administer medications, and educate patients and families while coordinating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Education Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in long term care, hospice, palliative, or home care.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a registered nurse.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments; monitor patient status.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and support staff; document clearly.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and Hospice Aide staff; ensure quality of care.
