Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in our Maryland facility.

You will perform assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination of care; educate patients and families; and participate in discharge planning while upholding GBMC's values of Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork, Ethics, and Results. Minimum MD RN license preferred; 2+ years of experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families and staff effectively.
• Develop, implement and evaluate nursing plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Compiles patient data and formulates nursing diagnoses.
• Plans and coordinates care with the health team.
• Performs clinical nursing skills and administers medications and IV therapy.
• Documents patient status and care plans in medical records.
• Educates patients and families and participates in discharge planning.
• Demonstrates GBMC values: Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork, Ethical behavior, and Results.
