Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in long term care, hospice, palliative, or home care.
• Current Maryland RN registration.

Responsibilities

• Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnosis.
• Performs clinical nursing skills independently and administers medications and IV therapy.
• Initiates emergency procedures and delegates duties to nursing staff.
• Documents patient status and plan of care in the medical record.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.
• Educates patients and families using teaching/learning principles.
