Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Grand Rapids seeks an Executive Director to lead our hospice division, directing day-to-day operations, ensuring clinical excellence and financial health, and building a strong team in an employee-owned organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's in business or a related field, 3+ years of healthcare management, and the ability to balance regulatory requirements with compassionate patient care; weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least three years of healthcare management experience within the last five years.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Strong operational judgment with the ability to balance clinical standards with financial and regulatory realities.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day hospice operations and report to the regional director.
• Own budgeting, financial performance, and goal achievement; produce financial statements and explain variances.
• Ensure compliant billing and collections in line with regulations and contract requirements.
• Oversee QAPI processes, data collection, and reporting to the Governing Body.
• Lead recruitment, retention, and supervision of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality care.
• Manage contracts for inpatient and respite care, medical supplies and vendors; annual evaluations.
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and standards; coordinate corrective actions and licensure.
• Designate coverage in the absence of leadership and support the broader team.
