Wellspring Lutheran Services Hospice in Frankenmuth is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to provide personal care and support to patients in their homes. You will work with a nurses' team to promote comfort, safety and quality of life while supporting families.

The role requires current Michigan CNA certification, completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program, and reliable transportation for per diem travel across Frankenmuth and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan CNA certification in good standing.
• Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program.
• Minimum of one year CNA experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required in-service education and certifications.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on personal care to keep patients comfortable, safe and supported in their home.
• Assist with activities of daily living to maintain dignity and independence when possible.
• Observe changes in patient condition and communicate to the nursing team.
• Support families and caregivers and be a compassionate presence during difficult moments.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meals and other services contributing to quality of life.
• Per diem travel between patient homes and care settings as needed.

Job Description: Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Comfort, Compassion & Meaningful Care Wellspring Lutheran Services – Frankenmuth Hospice | Serving Bay City, Saginaw, Frankenmuth, Caro and surrounding areas | Per Diem, travel | Hourly $17.00 - $19.00

You understand that some of the most meaningful moments in caregiving happen in the quiet spaces—a reassuring smile, a conversation with a family member, or simply being present when someone needs support. Hospice care is about those moments. It's about helping people live each day with comfort and dignity while supporting the family members walking alongside them. It's about seeing the person beyond their diagnosis and recognizing that every individual deserves compassionate care, respect, and kindness throughout their journey. At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we're looking for a Hospice CNA who believes that caring for someone at the end of life is both a privilege and a calling. As a Hospice CNA, you'll work closely with nurses, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary hospice team to provide personal care and support that focuses on comfort, safety, and quality of life. You'll build meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers while helping families navigate an important chapter in life. Most importantly, you'll help ensure that patients experience comfort, dignity, and compassionate care when it matters most.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

You'll provide hands-on personal care that helps patients remain comfortable, clean, safe, and supported in the place they call home. You'll assist with activities of daily living, helping patients maintain dignity and independence whenever possible. You'll offer support and encouragement to family members and caregivers while serving as a compassionate presence during difficult moments. You'll observe changes in patient condition and communicate important information to the nursing team, helping ensure patients receive the care they need. You'll help create a comfortable environment by assisting with light housekeeping, linens, meals, and other services that contribute to quality of life. You'll become a trusted part of the care team, helping patients and families feel supported, respected, and cared for throughout their hospice journey. Some days you'll be helping a patient prepare for the day. Other days you'll be sitting with a family member who needs support, assisting with comfort measures, or sharing a simple conversation that brings reassurance during a difficult time. Every day, your compassion will matter.

What You’ll Bring

Schedule

Per Diem - As Needed Day Shift, 8:00am-4:30pm No weekends or on-call Daily travel between patient homes and care settings throughout Frankenmuth, Saginaw, Bay City, and surrounding areas - milage reimbursement provided.
