Wellspring Lutheran Services Hospice in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to provide personal care in patients' homes across Frankenmuth and surrounding areas. You’ll work with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to support comfort, safety, and quality of life, while building meaningful relationships with patients and families.
The role involves daily travel, light housekeeping, and supporting families during difficult times.
Job Description:
Wellspring Lutheran Services – Frankenmuth Hospice | Serving Bay City, Saginaw, Frankenmuth, Caro and surrounding areas | Per Diem, travel | Hourly $17.00 - $19.00
You became a CNA because you wanted to care for people.
Not just by helping with daily tasks, but by bringing comfort, preserving dignity, and making someone’s day a little easier. You understand that some of the most meaningful moments in caregiving happen in the quiet spaces—a reassuring smile, a conversation with a family member, or simply being present when someone needs support.
Hospice care is about those moments.
It’s about helping people live each day with comfort and dignity while supporting the family members walking alongside them. It’s about seeing the person beyond their diagnosis and recognizing that every individual deserves compassionate care, respect, and kindness throughout their journey.
At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we’re looking for a Hospice CNA who believes that caring for someone at the end of life is both a privilege and a calling.
As a Hospice CNA, you’ll work closely with nurses, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary hospice team to provide personal care and support that focuses on comfort, safety, and quality of life. You’ll build meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers while helping families navigate an important chapter in life.
Most importantly, you’ll help ensure that patients experience comfort, dignity, and compassionate care when it matters most.
What Your Impact Will Look Like
You’ll provide hands‑on personal care that helps patients remain comfortable, clean, safe, and supported in the place they call home.
You’ll assist with activities of daily living, helping patients maintain dignity and independence whenever possible.
You’ll offer support and encouragement to family members and caregivers while serving as a compassionate presence during difficult moments.
You’ll observe changes in patient condition and communicate important information to the nursing team, helping ensure patients receive the care they need.
You’ll help create a comfortable environment by assisting with light housekeeping, linens, meals, and other services that contribute to quality of life.
You’ll become a trusted part of the care team, helping patients and families feel supported, respected, and cared for throughout their hospice journey.
Some days you’ll be helping a patient prepare for the day. Other days you’ll be sitting with a family member who needs support, assisting with comfort measures, or sharing a simple conversation that brings reassurance during a difficult time.
Every day, your compassion will matter.
When you join Wellspring Lutheran Services Hospice, you’re joining a mission‑driven team committed to helping patients and families experience comfort, peace, and compassionate support.
Our hospice CNAs play a vital role in that mission. Often, you are the team member who spends the most one‑on‑one time with patients. Your presence, attentiveness, and kindness help create moments of comfort that families remember long after the visit is over.
This is more than a caregiving role. It’s an opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of others.
For more than 130 years, Wellspring Lutheran Services has been a trusted partner for families across Michigan, providing compassionate support and critical services to help people thrive during times of challenge and change. With deep roots in communities statewide, our team is united by a shared vision of changed lives, strong families and transformed communities.
Our mission: Motivated by Christ’s love, we engage people as they experience and embrace their God‑given potential.
