Job summary

Bristol Hospice Augusta is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team in Augusta, GA. You will work under supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring patient comfort in a hospice setting.

Ideal candidates hold a CNA license, have 1 year hospice or related experience, and demonstrate empathy, strong communication, and adaptability to meet each patient’s plan of care with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
• 1 year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments preferred.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised training completed.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle and good working order.
• Willingness to undergo criminal background check annually.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, and linen changes.
• Assist with dressing, feeding, and activities of daily living.
• Report changes to Case Manager and document care provided.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment.
• Support plan of care and observe for skin integrity.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and mobility as instructed.
