Job summary

Anodyne Palliative Services in Chicago, IL is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home hospice care. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, remind about medications, and document care in patient records, ensuring comfort and dignity for each patient.

In-person positions with flexible shifts (full-time, part-time, PRN, and per diem) and a minimum of 3 hours per week are available. A CNA certification and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a CNA program or equivalent training.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients in home or facility settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and medical observations.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration.
• Document patient care activities in medical records.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients.

Duties

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program or equivalent training
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation systems
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
