Job summary

Anodyne Palliative Services in Chicago is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to provide in-home and facility-based hospice care. You will support daily living activities, monitor health, and document care in a respectful, patient-centered manner.

Join a dedicated team delivering dignified end-of-life care, maintaining a safe environment, and collaborating with families to comfort and support patients in person.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA program completion or equivalent training.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients in homes or facilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and document observations.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration, as applicable.
• Document care activities in medical records and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Duties

• Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients in their homes or healthcare facilities
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
• Assist with medication reminders and administration
• Document patient care activities and observations in medical records
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program or equivalent training
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation systems
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
