Anodyne Palliative Services provides in-home hospice care in the Chicago area, seeking a compassionate CNA to support patients in their homes or facilities. This role emphasizes patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life, with responsibilities spanning ADL assistance and vital signs monitoring.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certification, high school diploma, and demonstrates strong communication and independent work skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program or equivalent training.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients in their homes or healthcare facilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration.
• Document patient care activities and observations in medical records.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
