Job summary
Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care PA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for Lancaster county areas. The role involves assisting patients with ADLs, toileting, transfers, ROM, and light housekeeping, Monday through Friday 8:30am–5:00pm. You will collaborate with hospice staff to deliver compassionate care in a home health setting.
Qualified candidates hold a State Certified CNA license. Hospice or home health experience is preferred, though 1 year is acceptable.
Qualifications
- Must hold State Certified CNA license.
- Experience in hospice or home health preferred.
- No experience required but 1 year preferred.
- Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ADLs: personal hygiene, grooming, skin care, nails.
- Assist with toileting, transfers, positioning, and turning.
- Support prescribed exercise and ROM under supervision.
- Help with light housekeeping and patient laundry.
- Feed and assist with meals.
- Take temperature, pulse, and respirations as directed.
- Report condition changes to the Hospice Nurse and document appropriately.
- Assist or remind patient to take medications per regulations.
