Job summary

Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care PA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for Lancaster County, Millersville & Landisville areas. The role supports residents with daily living tasks, mobility, and basic care, under the supervision of a Hospice Nurse.

Candidates must have a valid CNA license; hospice or home health experience is preferred, and willingness to travel is required. Competitive benefits and a supportive team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State Certified CNA license.
• Experience in hospice or home health is preferred.
• No experience required but 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care, and nails.
• Assist with toileting, positioning, and transfers; frequent turning.
• Assist with prescribed exercises and ROM per training.
• Perform light housekeeping; change bed linens and handle patient laundry.
• Assist with meals and feeding.
• Take measurements (temp, pulse, respirations) as supervised.
• Report changes to the Hospice Nurse and document appropriately.
• Assist or remind patient to take medications per regulatory guidelines.

Now Hiring - Certified Nursing Assistant - {Lancaster county-Millersville & Landisville areas-and York County}

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.

• Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.

• Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.

• Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry.

• Feeds and assists with meals.

• Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse.

• Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information.

• Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Must have a State Certified CNA license

• Experience in hospice or home health, preferred

• No experience necessary but 1 year, preferred

• Must be willing to travel

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
